Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with circulating and total joints experience for a 13-week assignment requiring call coverage, including during the Christmas/New Year's holidays.

Details

• Work in a 2-room Operating Room with 1 Endoscopy Suite
• Surgical caseload includes Orthopedic, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, OB/GYN, General surgery, and Endoscopy procedures
• Unit performs 40-50 cases per week, with daily volume varying by service line (1-4 or 5 to 12 endo cases)
• Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• On-call requirements include 1 weekend per month and 3-4 nights per week

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of current Operating Room experience required
• Circulating experience required
• Total joints experience required
• Proficiency required in Ortho, General, Endo, Sports Medicine, GYN, and C-Section cases
• Scrub experience preferred but not required
• Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Operating Room skills checklist required for consideration
• One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment required
• Permanent address must be included for consideration

Additional Information

• Must be willing to work and take call during the Christmas/New Year's holidays
• This is a small, critical access facility, so RTO requests should be limited
• Travelers must live 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
