Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring a Minnesota RN license and prior charge experience.

Details

• Work in a post-op Surgical Care Unit providing care for General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Urology, Plastic Surgery, GYN, and Trauma patients
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (1900-0730), with possible day/night rotation (0700-1930 and 1900-0730)
• Every other weekend required
• Float to other similar units as needed, including PCU
• Epic EMR used
• MS/Tele work setting

Requirements

• Active Minnesota RN license required, in hand or proof of application at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required
• Prior charge nurse experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Minnesota CNA license (if applicable) must be active and in hand at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Level II Trauma, Magnet-designated, and teaching hospital with 479 staffed beds
• Provide post-operative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties
• Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
• Must complete required lab work within 48 hours of signing contract
• Minnesota fingerprinting (Livescan) must be completed in person on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date, with no exceptions
• Candidates must live more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• All RTO requests must be disclosed and approved at the time of consideration
• Vaccine exemption requests require appropriate documentation submitted with candidate profile
