Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Dept RN with triage experience for a Level II trauma hospital requiring at least one year of ER experience and an active MN RN license.

Details

• Work in a combined adult/pediatric general Emergency Department
• 3x12 Day/Mid shifts with times of 0700-1930 or 1100-2330
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend
• Patient ratio of 1:3 to 1:4
• Float required to inpatient units when ER staffing exceeds needs, limited to one or two units
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Open to block scheduling based on unit needs

Requirements

• Active Minnesota RN license required (pending license accepted with proof of application date)
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience required
• Triage experience required
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC or PALS certifications required
• Level I or Level II trauma experience preferred
• Art Line experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Previous travel RN experience required
• 2 years of charge RN experience preferred

Additional Information

• Level II trauma, Magnet-designated, teaching hospital setting
• Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per assignment, with no RTO during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• All RTO requests must be disclosed and approved at time of consideration
• Required lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
• Minnesota Livescan fingerprinting required in person within the state on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date, applicable to all candidates regardless of residency
• First-time travelers accepted
