Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN with pre/post procedural experience and a compact or MD RN license for a day shift hospital assignment.
Details
- Work in the Cath Lab, EP Lab, and IR Prep and Recovery units
- Average daily census of 15-30 patients across 12 rooms
- Day/evening shifts, 3x12 hours, either 6am-6pm or 9am-9pm
- No on-call, no holidays, and no weekend requirements
- Uses Cerner charting system
- Precepting is required
Requirements
- Active RN license (Compact or MD) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab/IR/EP Lab prep and recovery experience within the last 7 years
- Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
- Pre/post procedural experience required; Cath Lab, IR, and EP Lab experience preferred
- Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line and peripheral line care required
- Experience managing cardiac drips, pacemakers, and post cardiac angiogram/cath care required
- Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment
- Must support at least 2 years of experience within the previous 3 years
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, EP procedures, and IR prep and recovery
- Scrubs are provided
- Flu vaccine required for all employees
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days per 13-week contract
- Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a travel nurse
- Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate within a 60-mile radius
- Manager interviews are not guaranteed
