Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Stepdown for a Progressive Care Unit role requiring telemetry monitoring skills and cardiovascular/respiratory critical care experience.

Details

• Work in a 30-bed stepdown unit within the Progressive Care Unit
• Floats between critical care service lines as needed
• Patient population includes HFNC, BIPAP, stable gtt management, post-op CABG/AVR/MVR (POD#1), CV and vascular surgery patients, AAA repair, lobectomy, and CEA
• Cares for patients with NSTEMI, STEMI, ACS, pacers, sepsis, GIB, post DKA, respiratory failure, and tracheostomies
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Current ACLS certification (AHA) required
• CV and vascular experience required
• Stepdown or progressive care unit experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide advanced stepdown-level nursing care to patients transitioning from critical care
• Support includes managing complex cardiovascular, respiratory, and post-surgical cases
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted, subject to a radius rule that may affect pay rate
• COVID vaccination is not required
