Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 2+ years of mammography experience and ARRT certification with NV state license.

Details

• Outpatient imaging setting within a breast health department
• Rotating shift between 0800-1630 or 0700-1530, Monday through Friday, subject to change
• 40 hours per week
• No call requirements
• Travelers may be required to float based on organizational needs and competency level
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts depending on department needs
• Facility may cancel full or partial shifts with 48 hours notice for low census per 13-week contract

Requirements

• ARRT certification required
• NV state license required (license required if applicable) and must be obtained before start date
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of Mammography Technologist experience required
• Prior travel experience required, including at least one recent 13-week travel assignment within the past year
• Must demonstrate proficiency operating mammography equipment
• Must be able to provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Epic EMR experience preferred; training or test-out available during orientation

Additional Information

• Produce diagnostic mammograms and assist radiologists and referring physicians with mammographic procedures
• Work under the supervision of the Breast Center Manager
• Operate hospital and department computer systems as required
• Required to work 2-3 major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• 13-week break required between assignments for returning travelers
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• RTO must be submitted with the application and will not be added to the end of the contract
• Level II trauma center with a fast-paced, high-volume environment serving a 500-mile radius
