Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week contract requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and active fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• 32-bed Labor and Delivery unit with approximately 150 staff
• Day and night shifts available, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
• Alternating weekend schedule required
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Staffing includes charge and co-charge nurses on both day and night shifts
• Procedures performed include SVD, cerclages, C-Sections, and TOLAC
• Uses Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and ultrasound equipment
• EMR system is Meditech
• High-volume Level IV unit experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition), and AWHONN intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring (STABLE)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
• SVE competency and C-Section circulation experience required
• Internal monitor placement competency preferred
• Previous HCA assignment or employment preferred
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for laboring and delivering patients, accommodating 1:1 or 1:2 ratios as needed
• Team-oriented environment seeking candidates with a positive attitude and strong collaboration skills
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs; t-shirts are not permitted, only solid blue, black, or grey sweatshirts allowed
• Must adhere to unit attendance policies
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered
