Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Neuro RN for a night shift position requiring at least 2 years of neuro/neurosurgical experience and a Maine or compact RN license.

Details

• Neuro/Trauma unit with 9 beds and a 1:3 patient ratio
• Care for neurosurgical patients including spinal fractures, craniotomies, aneurysm repairs, head bleeds, traumatic brain injuries, seizure disorders, and multi-trauma cases
• Uses telemetry, ICP monitoring, externalized ventricular drains, epidurals, PCAs, Pleur-evacs/chest tubes, and trachs
• Charting is done in Epic
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with every other weekend required
• Float to other units as needed within a 25-mile policy between facilities
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maine or compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Neuro/neurosurgical experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

• Join a proactive, team-oriented unit supporting complex neurosurgical and trauma patients
• Maintain a professional appearance with any scrub color permitted
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local, which may affect pay rate eligibility
• Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
