Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 1+ years of experience and RDMS-OB/GYN certification for a 13-week acute care assignment.

Details

• Acute care ultrasonography department with 3 scanner rooms
• Performs general ultrasound exams, pare thora biopsies, and vascular exams
• Average of 8-16 scans/studies per day
• Uses Cerner EMR/PACS system and Philips EPIQ equipment
• In-house radiologist and radiology supervisor oversight
• Days shift, Thursday-Saturday 7a-7p
• Weekend coverage sometimes required, holidays on a rotating basis
• Call/standby requirement
• May float to other areas on an as-needed basis

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• BLS certification required
• RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification required
• RDMS-OB/GYN verification required
• RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification preferred
• Vascular imaging experience preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform general ultrasound exams, pare thora biopsies, and vascular studies
• Department-specific orientation provided, 12 hours
• Scrub color and dress code not yet determined
• First-time travelers may be considered
• Candidates must not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility within the past year
• Minimum 50-mile permanent residence radius from facility required for AZ, NV, NE, IA and MN
