Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years of hospital Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology experience for a day shift position.

Details

Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department with approximately 3 rooms, averaging 8 patients per day
Serves adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
Day shift, 5x8 hour schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Every other weekend required, totaling 6 weekend shifts per contract
No on-call requirement
No floating requirement indicated
Equipment used includes GE and Siemens systems
Epic charting experience preferred

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required
Hospital Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology experience required
Teaching hospital experience preferred
BLS required
ARRT(N) or CNMT, and NMTCB certification required
PET certification/experience preferred
License required if applicable
Must be comfortable starting and maintaining IVs
Experience storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials required
Broad range of diagnostic and cardiac Nuclear Medicine procedure experience required
Preferred experience includes gastric emptying, HIDA, MUGA, PET scans, bone scans (3-phase, limited, whole body), SPECT bone imaging, lung perfusion/ventilation studies, renal studies with Lasix, thyroid I-123 uptake studies, and myocardial exercise/rest and pharmacologic stress studies

Additional Information

First-time travelers are accepted
No pre-approved time off indicated; RTO must be submitted prior to contract signing
Candidates must live within 50 miles for local rate consideration
Any scrub color accepted
PA fingerprints and Childline clearance required within 1 week of signing, which may require travel over 100 miles
Lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing
Pass/fail clinical exam required with up to 3 attempts allowed
