Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a teaching hospital setting, requiring 1+ years of MRI experience with Siemens scanners and ARRT MR certification.

Details

Work in a very busy MRI department performing exams on inpatients, outpatients, and patients under general anesthesia, sedation, or anxiolysis
Average daily caseload of 50 per technologist
Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Weekend availability required as needed
Occasional overnight shifts may be required
Siemens scanner and PACS equipment used
Epic (Excellian) EMR system used for charting

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience required, with Siemens scanner experience
BLS and ARRT MR certification required (ARRT R also accepted)
License required if applicable
Teaching hospital and Level I trauma experience required
Epic/Excellian charting experience required
Experience with abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, and musculoskeletal imaging (hip, knee, shoulder, spine)
Experience with special imaging procedures including CINE, diffusion, gradient echo, perfusion, and MRA
Skilled in contrast media preparation/administration and starting peripheral IVs
Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work independently as well as part of a team

Additional Information

Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation and 317 staffed beds
Grey scrub color required
Candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
First-time travelers not accepted unless they have at least 1 year of hospital setting experience
Returning employees must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift as staff or per diem
RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days
Local candidates accepted for this radiology position with no radius restriction
