Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring a CA RN license, ACLS, BLS, and at least 2 years of recent cath lab experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Cath Lab unit with 4 procedure rooms
• Unit staffed by 20 RNs, with 8-9 RNs scheduled daily in a 2 RN/2 RT room mix
• Day shift hours are 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Night shift coverage is on-call only
• Patient ratio is 2 RNs and 2 RTs per patient during procedures
• Uses GE and Philips equipment
• EMR systems include MacLab and Meditech
• Floating to recover cath lab patients as needed
• On-call rotation required if need arises

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in cath lab specialty required
• Neuro and Electrophysiology experience preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Performs cardiac catheterizations, heart caths, peripheral procedures, and arrhythmia treatments including A-fib/flutter, SVT, and VT
• Involved in stroke care and complex neuro interventions
• Scrubs are provided by the hospital
• Must demonstrate strong teamwork skills to fit unit culture
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
