Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for an Emergency Department ED Holds role requiring tele experience and TX or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Emergency Department (ED Holds) unit within a hospital setting
• 28-bed unit staffed with 31 team members including charge nurses, RNs, and techs
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, and 2 techs; night shift staffing is the same
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Uses telemetry equipment for patient monitoring
• Meditech EMR used; prior recent experience preferred
• 13-week assignment with 7A-7P shift schedule

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• TNCC certification required for ER placement
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Phlebotomy skills required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Recent Meditech experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to ED hold patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Work alongside a dedicated team of charge nurses, RNs, and techs across day and night shifts
• Scrub color preference is royal blue; navy or dark green also allowed
• Shoes must be black, white, or gray
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate; no local candidates accepted
