Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department/Urgent Care position offering night shift hours and welcoming first-time travelers.

Details

• Freestanding ER and Urgent Care facility with 12 beds across 26,000 sq ft, including 7 ER and 5 urgent care beds
• Treats patients of all ages, from minor illnesses and injuries to life-threatening emergencies
• 3rd shift schedule, 3x12s from 7p-7a
• Weekends and holidays worked as needed
• 36 hours per week at 0.9 FTE

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (IN or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• PALS required within 12 months of hire
• NIHSS certification required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior experience required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and medical equipment use

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination across all phases of the nursing process
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and delegate tasks appropriately to other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
