Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PCU-ED Hold position requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications along with strong critical care skills.

Details

• Floating position covering PCU-level patients, with the majority of time spent in ED overflow
• May float between Auburn and Covington locations
• PCU unit has 33 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
• Patient population includes respiratory distress, ESRD, AKI, COPD, GI bleeds, sepsis, post-op, CVA, ETOH, overdose, CHF, post Cath or IR, and CIWA patients
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Skilled in cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience managing trachs and continuous BiPAP for stable patients
• Experience with invasive line management, ostomy care, general drains, chest tubes, and lumbar drains
• Experience with IV medication titration
• Experience treating CIWA patients

• Scrubs may be any color except camo, with navy blue preferred
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
