Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a floating position across ICU and ED overflow units, requiring WA or compact RN licensure and 2+ years of ICU experience.

Details

• Floating position covering ICU-level and below patients across Auburn and possibly Covington
• Approximately 75% of time spent caring for PCU-level patients in ED overflow
• 16-bed ICU unit within the Nursing Resource department
• 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation required
• May act as lead nurse in ED holding area
• Uses Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing system

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; CCRN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring required
• Skilled in ventilator/trach and BiPAP management required
• Experience with invasive line management, ostomy care, general drains, and chest tubes required
• IV medication titration experience required
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Care for patients with conditions including respiratory failure, ESRD, AKI, COPD, GI bleeds, DKA, sepsis, general post-op, CVA, ETOH, and overdose
• Does not accept craniotomy, major trauma, or major cardiothoracic cases
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrubs may be any color except camo, with navy blue preferred
