Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2+ years of PCICU experience and TX or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in a high acuity, fast-paced standalone Critical Care Cardiovascular ICU unit
- Patient population ranges from neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult congenital heart disease (CHD) patients
- Cares for patients with congenital heart disease/defects, surgical CHD, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD/Berlin heart cases
- Nurse to patient ratios vary by acuity: 1:1 and 1:2 for ICU status, 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU
- Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS - AHA), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS - AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience required
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to pediatric and young adult patients with complex cardiovascular conditions
- US Social Security Number and US home address required for consideration
- Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location
- Submission limited to one Ascension position system-wide
