Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Neurology/Stroke Unit position requiring NIHSS certification and at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- 13-week assignment on a 30-bed Med/Surg Neurology Unit
- Designated stroke unit serving primarily stroke patients, with some general medical surgical patients mixed in
- Patient population ranges from young adult through late adult (18-60+)
- Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6
- Shift hours are 06:45-19:15
- Staffing plan includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns with RN assuming full responsibility for assigned patients
- May be required to float to other units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs, with advance notice always given before a scheduled shift
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
