Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active WI or compact RN license and at least 1 year of ER experience.

Details

• Emergency Room setting at a hospital and trauma center
• Night shift schedule
• May work at a second ER location within the same city network
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Either TNCC or TNS certification required
• Education verification required
• Flu vaccination required

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per approved nursing techniques and policies
• Performs patient assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
• Develops and executes individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians, including patient and family education
• Participates in department performance improvement activities and shared governance
• Provides clinical expertise and guidance to support patients' longitudinal plans of care
• Uses critical thinking to prioritize patient safety and experience, escalating concerns as appropriate
• Participates in professional nursing continuum, unit practice activities, and peer review processes
