Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with critical care, ED, NICU, and pediatrics experience for a day shift hospital assignment requiring on-call availability.

Details

• Covers Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, NICU, and Pediatrics settings
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call required
• Weekend requirement of every 3rd weekend, 4 weekends per contract
• Epic charting system required
• Patient ratio of 1:12
• Performs pulmonary function testing, ventilator management, and neonatal/pediatric airway procedures

Requirements

• Active RRT certification required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred, though less may be considered for hard-to-fill roles
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• License required if applicable
• 1 supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations including ventilator management, airway suctioning, and medication delivery
• Perform pulmonary function testing including spirometry and lung volume studies
• Participate in high-risk deliveries and neonatal transports as needed
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Orientation occurs on a biweekly schedule
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate within 75 miles of the facility
• Candidates with prior permanent employment at this health system must not have been employed there within the past 6 months
• RTO requests must be submitted with candidate profile, limited to 5-7 days maximum
