Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least 2 years of critical care experience.

Details

• Work in a 15-bed Cardiovascular ICU within a high-acuity critical care department
• Care for patients with cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, post cardiopulmonary arrest, and post ventricular assist device placement
• Serve a patient population ranging from adolescent through late adulthood (ages 14 to 60+)
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
• Direct patient care team includes Registered Nurses and Patient Care Technicians
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to some of the most acutely ill cardiac and neuro/neurosurgical patients in the region, including ECMO-level care
• Care for patients referred from across Tennessee and surrounding areas
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates but potentially at a reduced rate depending on distance from facility
• Travelers should discuss extension opportunities with their manager at least 45 days before assignment end date
