Description

American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for an Urgent Care/Facility Based Crisis role requiring NC or compact RN license, BLS, and Epic experience.

Details

• Behavioral health urgent care and facility-based crisis setting
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7p-730a
• Weekend rotation and holidays as needed
• Floats between Urgent Care and Facility Based Crisis units, with possible floating to any Cone Health campus
• Patient ratios of 1:6
• Treats adolescent, adult, and pediatric patients
• Urgent Care handles walk-in and IVC transport patients with up to 25 visits per day in a fast-paced environment
• Facility Based Crisis unit serves as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization for mental illness and substance use disorders
• Common diagnoses include MDD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and substance abuse

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required in hand at submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Urgent Care experience required
• Behavioral Health experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (Pass/Fail, two attempts allowed)
• Must provide current driver's license to verify address
• Third-party education verification required
• No open background check cases permitted

• Orientation includes non-billable modules averaging 2-4 hours, varying by unit
