Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology RN with critical care background for a Magnet-designated Level I trauma teaching hospital, requiring a WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Interventional Radiology unit supporting pre and post procedure care for pain procedures and recovery
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 0700-1930
• On-call requirements including response to urgent/emergent procedural needs such as Code Stroke, STEMI, Trauma, and IR Body cases
• Weekend requirement of every 3rd weekend, subject to change based on vacation coverage
• Holiday coverage required
• Float requirement within IR and Neuro IR, with potential pre/post op support as needed
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact license required; pending license not accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU or ED experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Experience with procedural sedation monitoring and sheath removal/monitoring
• Experience with vascular closure systems and topical hemostasis techniques
• Skills in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and radiation/laser safety

Additional Information

• Assist with pre and post procedure care for IR and Neuro IR cases
• Scrub attire includes any solid color scrubs; light blue scrubs provided on unit
• Proof of COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
• First-time travelers accepted if all requirements are met
• Prior UW/Harborview staff must have 18 months separation before returning as a traveler
• RTO should be kept to a minimum and cannot be requested during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius restriction
