Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Endoscopy position requiring advanced procedural expertise in EBUS, EUS, and ERCP along with moderate sedation and PACU experience.

Details

• Outpatient endoscopy center setting handling pre- and post-procedure care
• Day shift rotation among 0600-1430, 0700-1530, 0800-1630, and 0900-1730 schedules
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• On-call required as needed
• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital may be required
• Epic/Excellian EMR used

Requirements

• Active MN RN license (pending license accepted)
• Current ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Advanced endoscopy experience required, including EBUS, EUS, and ERCP
• Experience administering moderate sedation within the last two years required
• PACU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administer and monitor conscious sedation and manage dysrhythmias
• Perform post-procedure recovery including airway management and sedation recovery
• Handle specimen collection and labeling
• Start and maintain IVs for patients
• Work with equipment including bronchoscopy carts, balloon dilators, electrosurgical units, forceps, and polyp snares
• Assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, esophageal varices banding, and medication administration including opioid analgesics and reversal agents
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility for consideration
• Returning travelers must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift as perm staff or per diem
• RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
