Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer specializing in Maternal Fetal Medicine with high-risk OB experience required for a teaching hospital.

Details

• Maternal Fetal Medicine unit in a teaching hospital setting with 374 staffed beds
• High-risk OB and obstetrics patient population
• Daily caseload of 7-8 patients
• Day shift, 5x8 hour schedule, rotating between 7:30 AM-4:00 PM and 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements
• No floating required within scope
• Open to block scheduling accommodations
• Charting via EPIC

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience required, with MFM experience accepted for first-time travelers
• BLS and ARDMS OB/GYN certifications required
• RDMS-Fetal certification preferred
• High-Risk OB experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• License required if applicable
• Skills in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester scanning, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, nuchal translucency screen, placenta previa, and fetal anatomy assessments (abdomen, bones, cerebellum, diaphragm, head, heart, etc)
• Experience with amniocentesis procedures preferred
• Experience with GE and Philips ultrasound equipment, with GE preferred
• PACS system experience required
• Must be clean-shaven to achieve proper mask seal for respirator fit testing, as no exemptions are permitted

Additional Information

• Perform a range of maternal-fetal ultrasound exams including anatomical surveys, fetal echo, and growth assessments
• Black scrub color required
• Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and will not be accepted for this position
• One RTO request permitted per contract
• First-time travelers accepted if they have prior MFM experience
• Clinicians who have worked as a traveler for over a year must take a 6-month break before returning to travel assignments
