Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU RN for a high-acuity 24-bed Level 1 Trauma Center PICU requiring BLS, PALS, and at least 2 years of specialty experience.

Details

• High acuity, fast-paced 24-bed PICU at a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Patient population includes neurology, renal, pulmonary, surgical, and medical ICU cases
• Patient ratios vary by shift, typically 1:1 to 1:2 for ICU status
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• Floating required to CVICU, NICU, and the North Campus 12-bed PICU when needed
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the specialty required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide high-acuity critical care nursing to pediatric ICU patients across multiple specialties
• Navy scrubs required, pediatric print tops allowed
• Must have a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on location
• Candidates should discuss contract extension with management at least 45 days before the assignment end date
