Description
American Traveler is hiring a Charge RN for a Geriatrics unit requiring an active AK RN license and prior charge nurse experience.
Details
- Geriatrics unit within a long-term care setting
- 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM start, primarily Friday-Sunday schedule
- Weekly hours approximately 36
- Weekend shifts required as needed, including charge shifts
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- Floating required
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active AK RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Geriatrics RN required
- Prior charge nurse experience required
- 5+ years of experience preferred
- Fingerprints must be mailed to the Alaska Department of Health and Services within 48 hours of offer acceptance
Additional Information
- Serve as Charge RN for weekend shifts within the Geriatrics unit
- Candidate's permanent residence must be 50+ miles outside of Fairbanks
- Private 1-bedroom housing for 1 occupant is available, no pets allowed
- Optional housing allowance available in lieu of provided housing
- A vehicle is recommended for transportation due to winter conditions
- Up to 14 days of RTO may be requested, including a maximum of 4 weekend shifts
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
