Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level 3-4 NICU position requiring night shift availability and at least 2-3 years of NICU experience.

Details

• Work in a Level 3-4 Neonatal ICU setting
• Patient population ranges from 23 weeks gestation to 4 months, including extreme prematurity and micro preemies
• Neonates primarily admitted from labor and delivery, with NICU staff responding to neonatal emergencies and attending all C-sections and high-risk deliveries
• Treats conditions including respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, hypoglycemia, congenital anomalies, seizures, and meconium aspiration syndrome
• Services provided include noninvasive nasal CPAP, mechanical ventilation, High Frequency Oscillation, and nitric oxide inhalation therapy
• Nurses perform bedside procedures including peripheral IV insertion, septic workups, intubations, percutaneous catheter insertions, and parenteral therapy
• Schedule consists of 3x12-hour night shifts

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
• AHA certifications required: BLS, NRP, and STABLE
• 2-3 years of NICU experience required, including vents, oscillators, pressors, and micro preemies
• Must have at least two years of prior work experience in a US hospital in the NICU specialty
• Experience with ventilators, oscillators, and pressors required
• Two manager or supervisor references required, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• US SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive NICU nursing care including assessment, bedside procedures, medication administration, and parent teaching
• Attend all C-sections and high-risk deliveries to provide immediate newborn assessment and care
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
