Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Evaluation and Treatment Center position requiring 3 years of ED experience and CA licensure, with Chemo certification required.

Details

• Work in the Evaluation and Treatment Center (ETC) providing urgent care for cancer and other medical concerns
• Combined adult/pediatric emergency department setting
• 1:4 patient ratios
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand upon consideration, no pending licenses or EMSA accepted
• BSN required
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Emergency Department specialty required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Chemo certification required in hand, no pending certifications accepted
• Experience with 1:4 patient ratios required
• Required skills include blood product administration, central line care/management, phlebotomy, IV starts and maintenance, emergency medications, IV insulin protocols, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Clinical experience required in CVA, spinal cord injury, abdominal pain, infection, seizures, and UTI management
• Experience with intubation assistance/management, chest tube insertion/management, isolation precautions/PPE, and triage required

Additional Information

• Provide timely assessment and treatment for patients experiencing acute symptoms related to cancer care or other health conditions
• Seafoam green scrubs required (not provided)
• Flu vaccine or signed declination form required during flu season (October-March)
• Considered a local candidate within a 75-mile radius
