Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience in the service line to provide imaging services in an acute care hospital setting.

Details

• 13-week assignment in the MRI department
• Schedule is 3x13-hour shifts, Saturday to Monday, 6:30 AM to 8:30 PM
• Call required one day per week plus one weekend every 4th weekend, covering MRI from 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Work settings include adult acute care, adult ICU, adult outpatient, and ER/Trauma
• Performs MRI studies of the abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, and musculoskeletal system including MRCP, MRA, and MRV
• Uses GE equipment and PACS system
• Allscripts charting experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• ARRT (R) and BLS certification required; ARMRIT and ARRT (MR) preferred
• TMC certification only required if performing CT or X-Ray
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the service line required
• Skilled in contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

• Completes facility-specific orientation modules, averaging 6-8 hours, during orientation
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, upon arrival; a positive result results in automatic cancellation
• Candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could result in a positive drug screen
• Local candidates not accepted for Allied positions; must reside outside a 50-mile radius
• Previous perm staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
• Travel experience preferred
• Clinicians must complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting the offer or have a documented plan for completion
