Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years ED experience and a MO or compact RN license.

Details

• 30-bed Emergency Department, not a trauma-designated facility
• General ED serving combined adult/pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• 24/7 STEMI-Cath Lab coverage available
• Uses Epic EMR
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Weekend scheduling included in assignments
• Block scheduling requests accepted but not guaranteed until schedule is posted

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO or compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• SANE certification preferred (can be completed onsite)
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Experience in teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, or trauma settings preferred
• Skilled in a wide range of ED clinical areas including pediatrics, psychiatric emergencies, IV therapy, respiratory care, cardiac monitoring, neurological emergencies, and orthopedic trauma

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across a broad range of adult and pediatric conditions, including trauma, psychiatric, respiratory, cardiac, and neurological cases
• Perform triage and apply isolation precautions/PPE as needed
• Wear solid-colored scrubs of any color
• Facility located 1.5 hours from Springfield, Columbia, and St. Louis
• Open to holiday RTO requests
• First-time travelers not accepted; candidates must have 2+ years of ED experience
