Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med-Surg/Telemetry Float position requiring 2 years of specialty experience and a PA or compact RN license.

Details

• Med-Surg/Telemetry Float Pool position supporting MS3 and MS4 units within the same hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift, 3x12s or 4x12s, 7:00pm-7:30am, 36-48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required, including Friday and Saturday nights
• Floating required between MS3 and MS4/Med-Surg Tele units only
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling may be accommodated
• Epic charting system required

Requirements

• Active PA RN license or compact license required at time of submission
• ASN accepted
• BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry RN experience required
• Experience with feeding tube care, pre/post hemodialysis management, central/peripheral/PICC line management, phlebotomy/IV starts, heparin protocols, oxygen therapy, and isolation precautions required
• Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide Med-Surg/Telemetry level nursing care across float units
• Navy blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate differential
• One pre-approved RTO request permitted per contract; all time off must be submitted with the initial submittal
