Description

American Traveler is hiring a Critical Care Float RN for a Pediatric ICU/CVICU/NICU float pool role requiring 2 years of recent pediatric critical care experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Float pool supporting Pediatric ICU, NICU, and CVICU units within a large pediatric critical care service
• Facility averages 24 beds per unit across a 300+ bed system
• Units staffed with charge nurse and PCT support
• May float to acute medical-surgical departments and the emergency room as needed
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Navy blue scrub color required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in Pediatric ICU, CVICU, or NICU required
• Acute care or Emergency Room experience preferred
• TNCC certification preferred
• Must be AHA-certified for BLS and ACLS
• Current license and Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must provide full SSN and DOB for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required
• Two separate professional references required
• Skills checklist required

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and protocols
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Implement and monitor patient care plans, noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate under facility radius rule
