Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Critical Care Float RN requiring 2 years of recent pediatric ICU, CVICU, or NICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Critical Care float pool supporting PICU, NICU, and CVICU units within a pediatric hospital
• Unit sizes average 24 beds within a 300+ bed facility
• Units staffed with charge nurses and PCTs
• May also float to acute medical-surgical departments and the emergency room
• Uses Cerner EMR
• 13-week assignment with a 06:45-19:15 shift schedule
• Navy blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA for BLS and ACLS)
• Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric ICU, CVICU, or NICU experience required
• Acute care or emergency room experience preferred
• TNCC certification preferred
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must provide full SSN and DOB for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required
• Two separate professional references required
• Skills checklist and copies of certifications required

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Implement and monitor patient care plans while noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Subject to a radius rule allowing local candidates at a reduced rate, with mileage varying by state
• Covid vaccination not required
