Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a night shift position requiring community hospital experience and the flexibility to float between facility locations based on need.

Details

• Medical Surgical Float unit covering med/surg, MS/Tele, telemetry, and cardiovascular patients
• Some pediatric patients including bili babies and IMU-level patients
• Acuity-based ratios, with most patients at low acuity
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 17:45-6:15
• 3 shifts per week at the primary facility and 1 shift per week at another location (Bend, Redmond, or Prineville) depending on need
• Floating to Prineville required within scope
• Every other weekend required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license required
• OR RN license required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills in IV therapy, central line care, blood product administration, and PICC line management
• Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube, and tracheostomy management
• Experience with wound care, ostomy management, and bowel obstruction care
• Cardiac monitoring skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
• Pending license not accepted

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care across med/surg, telemetry, and cardiovascular units with occasional pediatric cases
• Maximum of 7 total days off allowed during the 13-week assignment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates not accepted, must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Proof of address required for consideration
• Candidates who cancel an assignment with fewer than 14 days' notice will be designated as Do Not Return (DNR)
