Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a 12-hour night shift contract requiring active NH or compact RN license and acute care float experience.

Details

• Float/Resource Pool role covering Med/Surg and Telemetry units
• 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a, every other weekend
• 3 shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours weekly
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float to an affiliated hospital location in Laconia, NH
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
• Administers Cardizem and Insulin drips (for hyperglycemia, not DKA) and Phenobarbital on Telemetry

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Must pass a Dysrhythmia Exam with 80% or higher during onboarding
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in an acute care setting
• Previous travel experience documented on resume preferred

Additional Information

• Provide float coverage across Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed
• Weekly orientation schedule
• First-time travelers with strong experience will be considered
• Local candidates accepted at a local rate within 50 miles
• Candidates residing more than 50 miles away are eligible for the travel rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
