Description
Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights? Join a hospital in Houston, TX as a Cath Lab Tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role on a team that values your expertise while experiencing a major metro area. Assist physicians and Cath Lab personnel in conducting diagnostic and interventional procedures. Operate Philips and Siemens imaging equipment to capture crucial images and procedural data. Work with EMRs including Meditech and MacLab.
What You'll Need:
- ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist required.
- RCIS (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Interventional Cath Lab experience required.
- Experience with Philips and Siemens imaging systems preferred.
- Experience using Meditech and MacLab preferred.
- Experience performing or assisting with LHC, PCI, PVI, PPM, EPS, IR, and neuro cases preferred.
- Willingness to educate and mentor junior staff preferred.
- State licensure as required by Texas.
Minimum Requirements (Client Specific)
- Required certifications: ARRT, RCIS, BLS, ACLS.
- Interventional Cath Lab experience is a must; candidates without interventional experience will not be considered.
- Experience in a hospital-based Cath Lab setting.
- Familiarity with Philips and Siemens equipment and use of Meditech and MacLab EMRs preferred.
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation, including at least 12 on-call shifts per month as requested by unit.
- Availability for some scheduled Saturday cases.
- Ability to operate and position patients for procedures using an X-ray table.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital, Cardiac Cath Lab (Heart Center).
- Shift: Days.
- Shift hours: 07:00 - 19:00.
- Typical unit staffing: 3 rooms, approximately 11 staff (day shift includes 1 charge, 4 techs, 4 nurses; staff commonly work 4/10-hour shifts).
- Patient ratio: typically 3 staff per case.
- On-call expectation: at least 12 on-call shifts per month.
- Weekend requirements: some scheduled Saturday cases.
