We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Largo, FL where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Florida state license in good standing with the State License Board.
• One year experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• BLS certification.
• Critical care skills with ventilator management experience required.
• Experience with ventilators such as Servo and Puritan Bennett 840 preferred.
• Ability to perform ABGs from arterial lines and sticks, assist in intubations/CODEs, and participate in rapid responses.
• Experience working in a hospital or acute care environment preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred.
• Demonstrated strong patient assessment and teamwork skills preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900 - 0700.
• Night shift staffing: typically 4 therapists on nights.
• Float requirement: may be required to float to the hospital's West campus psych/rehab department or other units as needed.
• Unit equipment: Servo and 840 ventilators in use.
