We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Largo, FL where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Florida respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• One year experience as an RRT in acute care or hospital setting. Experience with ventilator management required.
• Experience with Servo and Puritan-Bennett 840 or equivalent ventilator platforms preferred.
• Proficiency performing ABGs from arterial lines and sticks and providing nebulizer treatments.
• BLS certification required. ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Ability to assist with intubation, codes, and rapid responses. Critical care assessment skills required.
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred.

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Hospital.
• Unit: Respiratory Therapy supporting main hospital (includes float to psych/rehab campus as needed).
• Shift: Nights 1900-0700.
• Typical night staffing: 4 therapists on night shift; day staffing and supervision differ.
• Equipment on unit: Servo ventilators and PB 840 ventilators.
