Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights. Join a hospital-based cardiac catheterization lab in Houston, TX as a Cath Lab Tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role on a team that values technical skill and collaboration. Assist physicians and Cath Lab personnel with diagnostic and interventional procedures and operate advanced imaging equipment to capture crucial data of the heart and vasculature.
What You'll Need:
- ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist or equivalent modality credential.
- Texas state licensure or a valid multistate compact license as required for role.
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred).
- Experience working in a hospital Cath Lab environment with Siemens, GE, or Philips imaging systems. (Client requires familiarity with these vendors.)
- Ability to perform advanced procedures including structural heart interventions and participation in clinical trials is preferred.
- Preferred: RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification from CCI.
- Preferred: Experience in heavy structural cases and interventional radiology or Cath Lab pre/post areas.
Minimum Requirements / Minimum Qualifications:
- ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist or equivalent certification required.
- Texas RN license or compact license when clinical scope requires nursing licensure; otherwise state-required credentialing must be met.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Demonstrated prior Cath Lab hospital experience. Client expects cath lab experience with hospital patient populations and familiarity with Siemens, GE, and Philips equipment.
- Ability to float to Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab pre/post areas as needed.
- Preferred but not required: RCIS certification and structural heart procedure experience, including participation in clinical trials.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital - Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
- Shift name: Days.
- Shift hours: 09:00–19:00.
- Weekend/on-call expectations: Every other weekend and one weekday on call as part of unit schedule.
- Floating requirement: May be required to float to Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab pre/post areas.
