We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state license in good standing with the State License Board for Illinois.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum one year experience as an RRT in an acute care setting. Client requires experience with adult ICUs and emergency department environments.
• Experience caring for neonatal and pediatric patients preferred. Client indicates exposure to Level III NICU and PICU environments is desirable.
• Experience with ventilator management and advanced airway procedures in adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations preferred.
• BLS certification required. ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
• Ability to float to other inpatient units as needed, including adult medical-surgical and ICU settings, is required.

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Hospital.
• Shift: Nights.
• Shift hours: 1900-0730.
• Schedule features: Every other weekend and holiday rotation required.
• Clinical units: Work primarily in respiratory care with potential assignment to Level III NICU, PICU, adult ICU, adult medical-surgical, pediatrics, and Level II Trauma Emergency Department.
• May float to other inpatient units as operational needs require.
