Description
Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights. Join a hospital in Roseburg, OR as a Cath Lab Technologist (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role on a team that values procedural skill and teamwork. Assist physicians and Cath Lab personnel in conducting diagnostic and interventional procedures. Operate imaging and hemodynamic equipment to capture essential data for patient care.
What You'll Need:
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) certification.
- Acceptable professional credentials: RCIS or ARRT (CI) or ARRT (CV). Per manager, RCIS will be accepted in lieu of ARRT for travelers.
- Oregon state license required.
- Minimum experience: Recent cath lab experience with ability to scrub coronary angiogram/interventions, STEMI cases, peripheral angiogram/intervention, thrombectomies, IR cases, and device implants.
- Skills: Competence in sterile table setup, scrub and circulate roles, groin and radial access site management, knowledge of atherectomy devices, and experience with Impella and IABP.
- Experience with charting/EMR: MEDITECH. Familiarity with McKesson/GE equipment preferred.
- Radiation badge required for this assignment. Facility does not provide badge.
- Orientation: 12 hours departmental orientation by peers/special procedure techs.
- Preferred: RCIS certification from CCI (if not already listed above).
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital.
- Unit: Cath Lab Tech.
- Shift name: Days.
- Shift schedule: Days 0700-1600; alternative schedule includes 4x10s 0700-1600 or 7a-4:30p per unit notes.
- Typical caseload: 3 suites/labs with an average of 5–10 cases per day.
- On-call requirement: On call every 4th day and 4th weekend. Call response time: 20 minutes. Call begins at end of shift until 0630.
- Night and weekend call specifics: 1–2 weeknights per week on call; weekend rotation every 3rd or 4th weekend starting end of shift Friday through Monday 0630.
- Floating: No.
- Scrubs supplied by department.
