We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in St. Louis, MO where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Missouri state license in good standing with the State License Board.
• Registry as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• One year experience as an RRT, preferably in an acute care or hospital setting.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience operating and maintaining mechanical ventilators and providing invasive and non-invasive ventilatory support.
• Competence with arterial puncture, oximetry, capnography, 12-lead EKG, basic arrhythmia recognition, and pulmonary function testing.
• Ability to perform airway management including suctioning, tracheostomy care, and endotracheal tube insertion via free-hand or video laryngoscope techniques.
• Ability to assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube management, and PleurX drainage when indicated.
• Ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Client preference: must be available to work a block of Fridays as part of the schedule.
• Preferred: ACLS certification and prior experience in trauma or critical care environments.
