We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in St Charles, MO where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current Missouri state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• One year experience as an RRT in an acute care hospital setting preferred; experience with ventilator management and ICU or step-down units preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Required skills: arterial blood gas sampling/interpretation, 12-lead EKG, oximetry and capnography monitoring, airway management including tracheostomy and endotracheal tube care, suctioning, and non-invasive and invasive mechanical ventilation management.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot a variety of ventilators and respiratory equipment, perform pulmonary function measurements, and assist with bronchoscopy and chest tube management.
• Ability to perform patient transport and critical care procedures according to hospital policy.
• Clinical documentation skills and experience with respiratory therapy charging and electronic charting preferred.
