Description

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a travel assignment in Charlotte, NC. The MRI Technologist will accurately interpret physician scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images. The role supports ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populations and collaborates with Radiology Nursing and Radiologists.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification or equivalent (ARRT(R) or NMTCB; ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT acceptable).
  • BLS certification required.
  • Minimum of 1 year MRI technologist experience required. First-time travelers accepted.
  • Experience performing MRI exams for ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populations, including patients with medical devices and exams requiring anesthesia.
  • Experience preparing and administering IV contrast according to protocol.
  • Ability to evaluate image quality and consult with Radiologists as needed.
  • Ability to perform basic patient care functions and initiate life support measures when necessary.
  • Familiarity with infection control, bloodborne pathogen precautions, and radiation safety principles.
  • NC state licensure is not required for this position.
  • Preferred: prior experience working in a hospital setting with X-Ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, or Nuclear Medicine services.


Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Hospital.
  • Shift name: Nights.
  • Shift hours: 20:00–07:00.
  • Standard hours per week: 48.
  • Duration: 13-week travel assignment.
  • Department census: inpatient census typically high; department averages ~23 studies per day.
  • Traveler radius rule: candidate’s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of the home unit.
  • Candidate may care for patients with medical devices and perform cases with anesthesia as needed.
