Description
We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Dickinson, ND where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- Current North Dakota state license in good standing at time of submission.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) verification or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) verification. RRT preferred; CRT acceptable.
- One year of clinical respiratory therapy experience.
- BLS (AHA) certification required.
- ACLS (AHA) certification required.
- Experience with MEDITECH charting system.
- Ability to perform arterial blood gases (ABGs), EKGs, and routine respiratory therapy duties independently.
- Willingness to work with all patient age ranges, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
- Fit testing requirement: must be able to pass N95/3M fit testing procedures; facial hair that prevents fit test or PAPR use is not permitted.
- Must not be currently employed as full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity.
- Required to submit Return to Office (RTO) within 7 days or less for 13-week contract.
- Preferred certifications: PALS, NRP.

Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital.
- Unit: Respiratory Therapy.
- Shift: Days.
- Shift hours: 0700-1900 (12-hour shifts).
- Weekend requirement: Every 3rd weekend.
- Holiday requirement: Holidays in rotation.
- Orientation: 1–2 weeks of unit-specific orientation depending on experience.
- Coverage areas: Emergency Department, inpatient, and some outpatient.
- Clinician may be the only RT in-house at times on certain shifts.
- Equipment used: Hamilton C1, PB980 ventilators; V60 BiPAP; high flow devices.
