What You'll Need:
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program
• ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy (ARRT-RT)
• Valid Radiation Therapy state license, if required by Wisconsin
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Varian TrueBeam and Aria EMR, and linear accelerator operation (client requirement)
• BLS certification
• Experience delivering care to adult oncology patients
Minimum Requirements / Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program.
• Certification: ARRT-Radiation Therapy required.
• Licensure: Valid state Radiation Therapy license if applicable in WI.
• Clinical Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with Varian TrueBeam and Aria EMR. Linear accelerator treatment delivery experience required.
• Certifications: BLS required.
• Patient Population: Experience treating adult oncology patients.
• Required Skills: Competence with treatment setup, immobilization, treatment verification, and documentation.
• Preferred (clear preference): Experience with DIBH (deep inspiration breath hold) and SBRT techniques.
Assignment Details
- Facility Type: Hospital
- Shift Name: Days
- Shift Pattern: 5x8
- Shift Times: 07:30–16:00 (may vary based on volume)
- Schedule Notes: No weekend rotation. No on-call. No holiday coverage required.
- Orientation: Up to 1 week based on comfort level
- Floating: No floating required
- Rooms/Equipment: 2 linear accelerators on site. EMR: Aria.
- Patient Volume: Average 20–45 patients per day. Patient ratio typically 2:1.
- Scrub Policy & Parking: Any solid color scrubs acceptable. Free on-site parking.
Assignment Summary and Duties:
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators.
• Accurately position adult patients and ensure proper immobilization during treatments.
• Verify treatment plans, dose delivery, and document treatments in Aria EMR.
• Monitor patients for acute reactions and communicate with oncology team and providers.
• Participate in department teamwork with lead therapists, other therapists, providers, RN staff, and leadership.
