Description
We’re hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Florence, SC where you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- Current South Carolina state respiratory license in good standing.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
- Minimum one year clinical experience as an RRT in an acute care or hospital setting.
- BLS certification required.
- Experience providing ventilator management, non-invasive ventilation, and invasive ventilation care.
- Experience with arterial puncture, oximetry, capnography, and 12-lead EKG acquisition and basic arrhythmia recognition.
- Familiarity with suctioning techniques, tracheostomy care, endotracheal tube insertion and removal, and routine respiratory procedures (bronchoscopy assistance, chest tube management).
- Ability to operate, set up, and troubleshoot various ventilators and respiratory equipment and to perform preventive maintenance coordination.
- Proficiency documenting respiratory care treatments, assessment findings, and therapy charges in the medical record.
- Preferred: ACLS certification.
