Description
We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- Current state Respiratory Therapist license in good standing with the State License Board.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience, including current NICU/PICU experience (advanced skills required for this unit).
- Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.
- Experience with ventilators and advanced neonatal/pediatric respiratory equipment such as 3100A, Bunnell high-frequency ventilators, and Servo ventilators.
- Experience with inhaled Nitric Oxide, Heliox therapy, continuous nebulizers, and high flow devices.
- Documentation experience in Meditech preferred by the hiring director.
- Ability to float to cover regular adult floors for therapies such as nebulizer therapy, BiPAP, and chest physiotherapy when needed.
- Preferred: prior experience in a tertiary care, trauma center, or Level 3 NICU environment.
