Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a hospital-based Respiratory NICU/PICU team in Miami, FL. The RRT will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment and care for neonatal and pediatric patients with respiratory disorders, using advanced technologies and medication delivery systems. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced tertiary care and teaching environment.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
  • Current state respiratory therapist license in good standing.
  • Current RRT credential.
  • Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience.
  • Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.
  • Current NICU/PICU experience required.
  • Experience with high flow devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servo ventilators, continuous nebulizers, nitric oxide, and heliox.
  • Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred. (Preferred: director prefers candidates with prior Meditech experience.)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Level 3 NICU and pediatric trauma environments.
  • Familiarity providing coverage on adult floors for nebulizer therapy, BiPAP, and CPT.
  • Team-player attitude, critical thinking, patient-care focus, and adaptability to change.


Assignment Details

  • Shift hours: 07:00–19:00.
  • May be required to float to provide coverage for regular adult floors.
