We’re hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Fredericksburg, VA where you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. This position requires experience with neonatal intensive care skills and mechanical ventilation support. Candidates must be able to work scheduled night shifts as described below.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state license in good standing with the State License Board.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum 2 years of general Respiratory Therapist experience.
• NICU experience required. Must demonstrate competency with CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, intubation assistance, and mechanical ventilation.
• BLS certification required. ACLS and NRP preferred; may be obtained after hire.
• Experience with Hamilton ventilators (Hamilton C1, V60, MR1) and Meditech documentation preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hospital respiratory unit serving adult and neonatal patients.
• Familiarity with unit-specific policies and working in units with tech support and unit clerical staff.
• Comfort working in all black scrubs per unit dress code.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1900-0700.
• Scheduling requirements include 3 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend.
• Patient population includes adults and NICU (neonatal) patients.
