Description

Join our skilled team of imaging professionals as an Interventional Radiology Technologist and perform invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will operate and perform quality assurance on imaging equipment, support patient monitoring, and assist providers during procedures.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology (IR Body and IR Neuro) experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center required. (Client-specific requirement.)
  • ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists — Radiography) or RCIS certification required. (Client-specific requirement.)
  • BLS certification required. (Client-specific requirement.)
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
  • State radiologic technologist license for North Carolina.
  • Ability to scrub and assist in IR procedures and to circulate, operate equipment, and provide needed supplies.
  • Experience with Siemens, GE and Philips imaging systems and GE ultrasound units preferred.
  • Experience working with EPIC/Encompass preferred.
  • Preferred: NIHSS and ACLS certifications.
  • Will accept first-time travelers. (Client-specific note.)


Assignment Details

  • Facility Type: Hospital.
  • Department: Interventional Radiology, high-volume academic medical center with Level 1 Trauma designation and teaching hospital environment.
  • Duration: 13-week travel assignment.
  • Standard hours per week: 40.
  • Typical department scheduling patterns: 3×12-hour or 4×10-hour shifts; common start windows include 0800–1830 or 0800–1630. Exact shift assignment to be confirmed with hiring manager.
  • Call: 3–4 call days per month. Weekend call frequency approximately every 5th–6th weekend; weekend call covers Friday ~1630 through Monday 0800. Holiday coverage expectation: 75% of holidays.
  • Orientation: Up to 2 weeks of facility and unit orientation.
  • Patient volume: Approximately 45–50 cases per day across 8 IR rooms.
  • Clinical team: 2 techs per room with RN support; department includes Neuro and Body providers and APP support.
  • Floating: Not required by client.
